Mr. Peluso is the Managing Member of
IR Advisors. He is a senior executive leader with deep experience in discrete
manufacturing, high tech, aerospace and defense, and process industries. In
particular, he works with executives to find innovative ways to leverage and
implement best business practices and advanced technologies to support and
enhance performance.
Mr. Peluso is a thought leader in
supply chain management including procurement, manufacturing, distribution and
logistics. He has been responsible for developing and deploying intellectual
capital for several market leading consulting firms. He has led teams of
leading research, consulting, and industry experts to drive competitive
advantage in organizations. These teams have generated new operating strategies
and products, developed business cases, selected strategic partners,
implemented new business processes, deployed best practices, and effectively
managed risk and change.
Luigi has been a Vice President at
CSC Index and The Concourse Group and a Partner at Benchmarking Partners. Many
of his clients have been acclaimed in the business press for their achievements
and improved operating performance. Several of his clients have also been
featured in best selling books on business management.
His 18+ years of research and experience
have included clients such as United Technologies Corporation, Ingersoll-Rand,
Danaher, EMC, Lockheed Martin, General Electric, AT&T, Johnson Controls,
Knight-Ridder, Pitney Bowes, and DuPont. He has held senior executive positions
(including P&L responsibility) in Sales and Marketing and operating roles
in Engineering. Mr. Peluso has had functional and personnel accountability for
Sales, Marketing, Distribution, Customer Service, New Product Development,
Product Management, and Professional Services Delivery in both Domestic and
International markets.
Mr. Peluso has been the lead
instructor for courses at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for
executives and graduate students co-sponsored by MIT’s Sloan Business School
and Graduate School of Engineering. He has taught in the Graduate School of
Business for the University of Chicago. Luigi has been an adjunct faculty
member of Clemson University and led seminars for New York University. Mr.
Peluso co-authored The People Dimension: Managing the Transition to World Class
Manufacturing. He has contributed to several other books and articles on
business and operations strategy including works by thought leaders such as
James Champy, Fred Wiersema, Tom Peters, and Jordan Lewis.
Mr. Peluso speaks frequently before
professional societies and associations. His talks focus on strategy and
business best practice deployment.
Mr. Peluso earned a BS in Mechanical
Engineering from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute and holds an MBA from the
University of Connecticut.
